[QUOTE = "2b1ask1, bericht: 675125, lid: 595"] Sta me toe Google Stevie te vertalen:

Han, I started at 137kg at New Year, I've just overtaken you this week. It is tough and the hardest part is the hungry feeling in the first couple of weeks as the stomach shrinks. The reality is a LOT less in and a bit more out to get underway. I'm not starting fitness training yet as I need to get down to a healthier weight first and I also want to have a full assessment to know it is safe. That said I am not sedentary and have a reasonable underlying fitness.

I have however had to set myself a massive personal challenge for summer 2020 as a motivation. For you, loosing friends should be a motivation. Use it as a reason to cut portion sizes first. Even serve a meal and then cut it in half and put one half in the fridge, honestly in a week you will start to see it is all you need.

Allow me to Google translate Stevie:

Top bit is Dan's opening post.

Han says:

Whow, there must be 30 kilos for my vacation this summer to Bella Italia, how can I participate?

Am 58, always sedentary work, not enough exercise, but something has to happen, otherwise I'm dead in a few years, many colleagues and friends lost the last 2 years, Bizar.

What do I have to do to go along with this good action, hear from you.

Ben 180 cm
130 kilos
Abdominal circumference .. haha Too much.

Drink almost no Beer, more Rosé, so above sugar.

Ciao Han

Han, jump in mate, the more the merrier loosing weight with the forum, between us we have already lost the equivalent of a small adult!

Thanks Stevie, ik dacht dat het Nederlands gelijk werd omgezet naar de Engelse taal.

Ciao Han.

Brilliant! Well done, Jon. My 52 cards of dumbbell exercises arrived today but I'm still shaking off this sodding bloody cold so all I've done is look at them. I've got some catching up to do with the rest of you.

Dave - will the gym be a regular spare-time haunt now you're in Denmark? Tough choice between that and the bars.

It will have to be, not to bad during the week, but they have the "saturday" club in the Irish bar, starts at 1:30 and basically, football, rugby, cricket ot mice pissing on the screen.
Seriously tho, good bunch of guys here and the Danes seem to be really good to work for, they dont seem to get excited or het up about anything.

Only 1 week in and no access to all the planning systems, when I have that and start work they may find me out, mind having observed some of the prep and standards in some plans next week, i think I will be okay.

90.8kg down 2kg in 4 weeks.

People say why bother with dry Jan, well I’ll tell you. The tail end of last year I was struggling at boxing. Seemed to have lost the fitness I had sort of went off a cliff. I started to accept that at 47, it was probably an age thing.

Well, the last 2 week I’ve blistered through them and it’s like a switch has been flipped back on again.

So take the **** if you want, but that’s why I do it and the hard work is worth it. I’ll diet in Feb and do March dry again...same as I do every year...then blow it in Le Mans :)

Well done Matt, and good to hear you’ve got your fitness and mojo back...

I feel similar and have decided to go crazy and do a 90 day challenge. This means I’m actually going to try and not have a drink until 1 April 2019!!!

:too_sad::too_sad::too_sad::omg::omg::omg:.

My logic is that I’m sleeping better, feel healthier, and by the end of January I will have lost 5kg through not drinking and using the spare hours in the evening to exercise. I’ve worked out that if I did the same for Feb and March, then (even with a bit of a slow down) by the end of March I could be under 80kg (which is roughly 12 1/2 stone), and I’d finally have a BMI and body fat% that was considered healthy!

What I haven’t decided is whether to allow myself a set number of nights off - so that it doesn’t become all or nothing....

That's really good work so far. Nice one!
Personally, is recommend a tolerance in case you spend time with other people on this forum.

Deliberately skipped posting yesterday as I knew the numbers would be bad. Most of Jan has not really worked for me, but I'm really on it now and back under 200lbs for the first time in too long
199.6 15.3% fat
Next stop 196 (which is 14 st)

Well done everyone else!

Morning all,

Great work everyone. The rate of posts on here has also slowed considerably!

I stepped on the scales this morning and saw 13st 7lbs. This was the stretch target I set for the end of Jan, and means I’m 12lbs lighter than I was. I’ve decided I’m continuing with no alcohol, and am hoping I can keep loosing weight at roughly 2lbs a week. Target for end of Feb is under 13st, or sub 82.5kg.

Last night’s exercise session was kettlebell/dumbells, and was 3 sets of:

Kettlebell swing
Tricep extension
Shoulder press
Upright row
Chest press
Chest fly
Hammer curl
Lat pullover
Torso twist
Side bend
One arm row
Goblet squat

I've lost nothing this past week, but also not gained, which is good. Routine has been lost for various reasons. I'll be back off to work for three weeks in a few days for, hopefully, sensible eating, and no drink, which should see me back on track. Keep up the good work people :)

I am still at 13 stone today (was 12 stone 10) so I am static too
On the plus side I have been eating and drinking well so i am optimistic I can get back to 12 st 10

Excellent progress. Don't get disheartened as that way relapse lies. Go find a picture of xlbs of fat. Or simply get the right number of bags of sugar and feel the weight you're not carrying around. It's quite remarkable.

Although it was some years ago, I'm not evne sure I could lift the 140lbs I lost.....
Keep it up!
