Jon, that was foolish of you. Get better quickly!

So how much have we lost altogether?

Well i’ve had a shocking 4 days of eating/boozing but it also involved a fair amount of walking around ( sightseeing)) so not expecting much progress.
That said, the Missus is gonna do a Comp in 3 months and wants me to do it with her. She starts prep tomorrow so I’ve an incentive to get back on track and take it to the next level again.

@JonW - ouch! Good luck for a speedy recovery. Hopefully you'll be back in the saddle (literally and figuratively) very soon.

Other than walking and trying to eat sensibly (mixed results) I've been rubbish for the last 10 days. The end of a thick cold culminated with a trip to Stockholm, but now I'm back I need to get my sh!t together and start moving again. I've even 'invested' in a bigger monitor for my Mac so I can enjoy a more immersive TV experience while I'm exercising (a task which I still firmly believe must always be undertaken out of sight of the general public. It really ain't pretty).

Thanks Adam - if you have a Mac in your gym, take a look at Rowpro.... I used to use that when I was rowing more than cycling and it’s quite nice to be able row with others or against a prior row...

It's more that I have the rowing machine and weights in my office / man-cave, but I'll definitely have a look at that - thank you. I assume you need the latest monitor, the wireless one - PM5, I think?

Nope - I used to have the PM4 on my rower, and there is a little cable that you can use to plug into your iPhone. It’s easier with the PM5 as that does wireless / Bluetooth...

This would be fun to add up. I’ve lost 12 lbs. Or the weight of a Bald Eagle ( which sounds way cooler!)

Ha, like that Jon; apparently the amount of pizza the average American eats in a year!

Well, back on the booze, had a 5 pints and 2 double G&T's on Friday and a bottle and a half of red on Saturday and I slept badly both nights and feel lethargic and shite today!

I think Ill back off the booze.

Going to diet in Feb with the continued exercise then in March dry again.

Bloody annoying, isn't it? I like a glass of wine or a beer but never sleep as well. Wake up too early, knackered and can't focus in the day. And that's even on just a couple of glasses of the stuff.

I only drink natural wines now.
Do not want anything with sulphates in as I reckon that's the problem plus drinking moderately as I'm older.

This explains why I am always at least 60 pounds above my target weight

Is this because as part of your plastic surgery, you’ve secretly harvested the equivalent of 10 people’s skin and created a range of different body suits???

What a dark and devious mind... and alarmingly astute.
