  • Hi CatmanV2! My F1 pump won't run after a dead battery. I’ve replaced the blown maxi fuse and the relay (which clicks), but I still have a CC light and no start.

As you suggested in a forum, I want to test for 12V at the pump motor. Could you please advise how to do this? Where specifically should I probe, and what is the best way to trigger the power for the test? Any advice would be greatly appreciated. Thank you!

Whoo, old school knowledge. I think you're going to have to pull the boot liner and the heatshield. That *should* give you access to the pump. Then I suggest one of these:

A Sealey PP1 I can't post an Amazon link as it's too many characters

That will allow you to both test if there's 12v when the relay is on and also force 12v to see if the pump runs.

Thanks CatmanV2! I’ve gone ahead and bought one of those and will tackle the job in a couple of days. I assume I would test the electrical outlet coming out of the pump motor? I wonder if I can source the motor separately at a lower price than the actual pump.
    Good day, CatmanV2.

Reading the forum, I noticed you have had success in assisting others with their Map Upgrade process for their Maserati.

I am getting our 2014 Maserati Quattroporte ready for my father for his new car and would love to give him the NZ Maps update.

I wonder if you would be so kind to assist me in the process - if so, I would be extremely grateful :)

Hi chap TBH the process doesn't have a great success rate, and remote support is, well tough. However, more of a blocker is that I don't have NZ maps, only Europe. If you can find them, I'm happy to *try* but....

    That would be amazing.

I have consolidated all the files and photos here:

    Current software: CTP16

Happy to discuss over whatsapp if that works best? :)
So ref the I-Phone - the one loaned to me was not compatible as it had the wrong IOS - Is your offer still there?
It would need to be one listed in the first post on the subject

    Thank you

Sorry for the delay. It's a 64g iPhone SE iOS 14.6 It's not clear if that list is *minimum iOS version, or maximum. I'd expect it to be minimum, given the current version or not a single up to date phone will work <shrug>

You are more then welcome to give it a try

I think it is that exact iOS as the one I tried at the weekend was a i-Phone 5 with 10.3.4, which was just to new for the 10.3.2 compatibility. I dont believe MB are updating the cars software to match the changes in operating systems
