I can vouch for the noise that Benny makes, Frank's car is similar. Very loud when revved hard, with cracks and pops on overun. On a CC box you can flip both paddles, it goes in to neutral, give it the business then flick the up paddle and away you go.

My tail pipes are the same as Franks except I had the perforated inner pipes replaced with solid and that does give it a lot more crackle when accelerating hard. Great fun!

It does sound the business Ian and I suppose the inside drone is not an issue with your soft top as it is with Frank's..?

Correct. I normally have the top down so any noise is good! We are off having 5 days away at the moment, with Wednesday and Thursday in the Lakes District. It will sound the business blasting through the hills and Dales, I can't wait!

Unsilenced X pipe centre I would suggest. The 3200 is going to be quieter than a 4200 as the turbos absorb a lot of the energy going through the exhaust as well as the lower rev limit on the 3200. Always best to do alterations one step at a time so you know where you are.

Not that easy on a 3200 due to the turbo's. I suppose you could have a crack at the CATS, I think there are two, you will have to leave the primary on due to emissions. Some have fitted an X-Pipe, but best talk to a 3200 owner who has actually done this before going in to anything else and increasing cost. Are you sure there is no increase in noise that's sufficient, sometimes the noise outside is more than inside the car..??

the exhaust tone is alot better and much louder, just not as loud as i want, outside the car is great i got my mate to drive for me so i could hear, as you said, inside isnt much difference, but outside is alot better.

i think i will try the centre x pipe first, but i am worried it still wont be loud enough for me!

just to give you an idea, this was what my last cars (pulsar gtir) exhaust system comprised of :) (that is the manifold, turbo, downpipe and full system there :))
