I'd be tempted to open up the central resonator, remove the internals and zip it up again. Cheap, cheerful, effective and it looks standard.

Good idea - I reckon that would be worth a go - I did that to some of my Audis that had cats before they were required for mots - I will give it a whirl in the next few weeks

I should have said; open up the central resonator, remove perforated internal pipe, replace it with solid pipe and then zip it up again.

Good idea Ian, the only downside is the d@mn mid box weights tonne, cut it out is what I say.

But I am going to do the same with my GS rear boxes in Sport mode....straight through.

I am not sure what's in it - at first I thought it was a cat , but I think you could be right and it's just a silencer - will confirm for sure when deed is done.

I have Larini sports cats, OEM centre, and Larini rears on my 4200 Coupe. I get drone between 2 and 3k rpm, and opening the window is not always possible at this time of year. Do you guys know (for sure) if I could reduce the drone by fitting a Larini x-pipe? Or, am I likely to make things worse? Ideally, I'd like to try before I buy. Thanks.
