The good morning thread

Morning all, Crud - the Botanical Gardens are I thought rather surreal and totally commercialised. That is not to say I didn’t enjoy going around and through them. This morning I have two sites to visit and repair then home to complete the kayak loader/roof rack by welding the back end of the frame and then all the mounting lugs. Then to test it by loading the kayak and off the South Woodham Ferrers to do the pool session later and try and practice my Eskimo rolls!

it is a real shame the race tomorrow has been cancelled/postponed but it does give me a lot more prep time for Monday’s trip to France with BennyD of this parish!

have fun all...

When a chap's wife fires up the grinder that early, Phil, it's ungentlemanly to not oblige.
Even better when she is someone else's wife just saying ;)

Is that the Gardens by the Bay, Newton, those big flower dome and cloud dome things that you have to pay to go in? In which case I agree. The Botanic Gardens are pretty low-key, just lots of plants, paths, lizards strolling around minding their own lizardy business, that kind of thing. Also free, unless you go into the National Orchid Garden.

This afternoon I had a haircut in a Japanese barber. It was wonderful. No obligation to chat (and no point trying), just the lovely babble of soft feminine chatter while the lady barber does the necessary, and a nice shoulder massage thrown in for good measure. Now, in a bid to get my liver to work for its money, I'm having a beer by the pool. Well, I would be if I could find a serving person.

Morning you lot!
Just enjoying a late breakfast before I meet up with a friend. Yesterday was fun - my sister and I ended up at an arcade playing giant 2-player Space Invaders!
HapPea Saturday!

I used some Permabond 737 this evening to glue PP foam onto aluminium with stunning results. What amazing glue it is.

Lightning Silver is a lovely colour, Andy. If you're in the mood for a saucy GT with a helluva turn of speed I really can't think what beats a Vanquish for the money. Unless you get a Strad or a GTS, but if it's a V12 that tickles your fancy there is surely nothing finer. Plus that all carbon-body - what's not to love?

Morning, all. Well, pm here, but you get the idea.

if was a thing of beauty Adam. Lightening silver is one of my favourite Aston colours as well. I love the way it just wraps around you when you are in it. They also had this yellow V12S Roadster...Rather a rare thing with manual box and power upgrade. Sounds bonkers loud. Not cheap at over 150k though.

Some price! No one knows what cars are worth these days, but I hope that goes for the asking. I'd not have a manual - it's the same box with a stick, and apparently a right pita.

I'm glad to have my 'old' Vantage back. I didn't like the new one.

Anyway, I'm now enjoying a beer by the river. Which is nice.

Enjoy that beer Adam.........So what didn’t you like about the new one. I would imagine it’s more polished than the last one due to those a German bits which sometimes isn’t always a good thing....or doesn’t make it feel as special maybe.
