Of course no problem.

What we are going to do is open up the rear boxes and sleeve the perforated section thus making the Sport route unsilenced.

Matt, if you make the Sport route unsilenced, will it sound the same/as lound as just "straight thru" pipes?

Sounds interesting, do we have any ideas on costs?

A secondhand set of Gransport back boxes = £400
Cost to do the mods...?

It sounds very nice in a muted kind of way. A subtle improvement, but definitely an improvement. Keep up the good work and let us know what you do next!

Benny has had some work done on the GS rear boxes, I dont think they are finished yet, but we should have something soon.

As for the X pipe, not done anything yet as I am going to pop in and see Pro Speed when I am in Wales at the track day and discuss it then.

Has anyone got a mid box they would be happy to donate to the cause?

Mat I have a center section if that's what is needed.
I know Snowflakes is due at the track day and he wants my spare tyre (not the one round my middle), so he could collect them both.

I will hopefully have an update tomorrow. When they are done, I'll trial fit them and go for a blast. That will give me some idea as to how 'spirited' they sound. There is no rigid time frame so watch this space as I will have to fit them in-between trips.

I trial fitted the newly modified GS boxes yesterday and they sound very nice indeed; not as loud as straight throughs but a very nice sound with more of an 'edge' than standard. We are looking to get an X-pipe sorted which will give it even more of an 'edge' and when they have been fitted to Matts car we will put a video together and see what you think. It will be an awful lot cheaper than going Larini and will look standard. It's starting to look good!

Cheers Newton. It could be the perfect solution for those wanting more sound but don't think it worthwhile paying Larini/ Tubi prices. Well see!

Once you've got these sorted Benny, could you move on to a QP setup. pretty please? Had I still had my 42, I would have been at the head of the list for these mods. Now I've got the QP, I'm feeling a bit left out!

We should have the demo car (mine) done by mid April. It will be on show at Llandow for anyone who want to hear it.
