The switch should be in the software iOS7, I would not have thought it was phone specific, it should be underneath "Increase Contrast" in the Accessibility section..??

Well I don't think the 4 has the required hardware. I have "on/off labels" below "Increase Contrast". My iPad mini, OTOH is as you describe.
And the 4 does not display the parallax effect on the home screen.

Well, I think it proves that there are many people who are too stupid to be allowed access to anything more complex than a paper bag.

Apparently, the same circuitry makes them shockproof too. It switches off the sensitive internal components if it senses a dramatic acceleration in the case of it being dropped. The longer the fall, the more components are switched off. It's a fantastic use of technology. To demonstrate, throw it hard at the wall or drop it off a multi-storey car stack and be amazed.

No, the 5S has a small jet motor inbuilt, if it senses being dropped the motor engages and it flies back to you....!!!

If I may, upgraded my old iphone 4 to ios 7, worked with that for a few days, then took delivery of a spanking new 5s... HATED the new look at first - looked like an episode of Barney, but gradually getting used to it and it all seems to work far more slickly.

The one drawback is that the bluetooth music streaming on the Parrot MKi9200 has gone haywire: I expect Parrot will be working on a software upgrade. Oh, and you need to fork out for adapters for all those old devices with old-style Apple connectors...
