So what is everyone's feelings on this?

I upgraded today and I was not that impressed at first but the more I use it the better it gets.

Still not convinced on the graphics, hopefully it will be a grower.

What sort of deal are you on?
I'm with O2, and still using a 3G (not even a 3GS)...could do with a free upgrade if the monthly bill not silly!

Been using it in beta for months, and it does grow on you. I find it's been getting out of my way more and more as I use it. Love the notification centre, with its summary if the day ahead, especially when it starts telling me how long it'll take for me yo get home from the office!

I am on Voda £15 a month, 2gb data 3000 mins and 3000 texts oh and I get the vat off that too.

Been with Voda for what seems forever and a mate of mine was out shooting with the number 2 at Voda. He was asked why the network is getting left behind and why the service signal is so poor and he was told that Voda don't bother investing in the UK network as they don't make any money here.

My mate moved to EE the next day and says its noticably better.

I am thinking about giving 3 a go, £18 a month sim only all the data you can eat and loads on mins of texts and calls you will never use.

Anyone got any advice about the 3 network?

Vodaphone are in the process of upgrading the network so that the can push 4G, it will also boost the 3G, it should be gradually coming on line from I think next month. EE have sold off a lot of transmitters around the country, so that they could afford to launch the first 4G network, in some areas the signal is total rubbish now..!!

Not sure why you say that because I've been on 3 for years and it trounces all the other networks when it comes to coverage. My missus is on Vodafone and it truly is ****.

That's what I have been hearing a lot too.

I am incredibly brand loyal....look at my taste in cars, but when all said and done I really feel that Voda has had its day. Hearing that from their number 2 sort if confirms what I have been feeling for a while.

I get a 3 sim on trial and go from their.

I went on 3 and don't get a signal at home, went straight back to the shop. Sticking with O2, pretty good coverage. So iOS 7 is worth doing?

So far so good. I understand the logic behind the loss of seumorphism, but it still looks a bit harsh. On my aging 4 it's not as fast as it might be, and there are some icons that I simply don't like (Newstand) and could be smaller (all of them) even though they are actually the same size as the old one. Very much like the notification and control center (about bloody time) but additional customisation would be nice (why does the today view actually mean the 'morning' view), and where's the iPhone weather app gone?

How do you get it to do that, Chris?

It's got a setting in location services that keeps an eye out on frequent places you go to regularly. If you let it.

The notification screen has a day summary, and if you open it near to a time when you usually travel, it'll check the traffic on your route and estimate how long it will take, so usually from around 4.30 if I'm at the office it will tell me something like "it will take you 16 minutes to drive home" on the pull-down notification thingy, as well as a weather summary, my next appointment and some information about my calendar for tomorrow.

My favourite is when there's an early start in the calendar, it'll tell you to get an early night as it looks like a busy day ahead. Thought that was hilarious the first time it happened.

You can block it from doing this if you're paranoid about it keeping tabs on you by turning it off in location settings.

Not wanting to start an iPhone/Android war - this is similar to Google Now on Android. Just mentioning it for non-iPhone users... I find it very useful - it can interface directly to the navigation system, and shows live traffic. Never says '16 minutes' though - it's generally 2 hours to home!

I updated all my devices first thing yesterday morning - I'm sad like that.

First impressions? Bl**dy awful childish design, it really is a step backwards. I love the Helvetica Neau typography but the icons look like mock-ups which never saw fruition.

I'm all in favour of getting rid of silly stitched leather and green felt imagery but the icons are childish and they haven't got rid of the silly leather from Find My Friends.app - hopefully they will because the Calendar and Notes are much improved.

However, the upgrade is worth it for one benefit alone: iDevices running iOS 7 are worthless if stolen because (or at lease Apple claims) that devices secured by a passcode can NOT be wiped by any means. This means if enough punters upgrade to 7 the market for stolen Apple devices will evaporate overnight.
