Getting excited, car washed and packed with all her bits and pieces.

By the way you can get breathalysers from Halfords for a fiver. You can guarantee they will be a rip off on the ferry.

Now I have to do the washing!

To all going I hope you have a great time. My first experience of driving across there recently was great and coming back with all the Le Mans crowd was fantastic. The chunnel crossing was a mega collection of UK cars, must have been worth a small fortune if totted up.

Wish I could have gone, but off on our family hols in a week and a bit so not much chance.

Apparently they need to be in the car within reach and not in the boot.
As per a recent email... don't forget your raincoat and wellies as the weather isn't looking too great :(

I'm taking some handcuffs and a truncheon just in case they add a new law whilst we are there.

Right, that's the wheels cleaned and polished and the car cleaned and polished. Having a break for a cuppa and to watch Murray beat Cilic in three and then it's glasswork and interior, then finally swap over the plates and start packing. 18 hours and counting........ :D

Miles, its going to be dirty by the time you plough through all the muck and drizzle getting to the ferry port.

I did mine at the weekend, and its dirty already, wondering if I should just leave it....I know I won't be able to resist it!

Gees Guys...you have it so easy over there, they have been patchwork quilting the roads I use here permanently for last 5 yrs.....today....had two hundred metres of muck to drive though.........I've seen much cleaner Rescue vehicles ....horrific!

Yeah I cut, polished and waxed mine last week, got the wheels refurbed and already its looking bad. I'm taking a mini cleaning kit, I'll do it there if I can be bothered, if its raining probably not.

Here is the weather forecast

Wimbledon - May spark some *** heavy showers ( Guaranteed every bloody year ) Omen.... change the dates. How about December !

I'm pretty sure a black cloud full of rain has been folloiwng me all year and is now crossing borders into France ! Glastonbury le Wight comes to mind. Hope they have tractors at Le Mans. We may need a tow out of Le Field ! Anyone with a Kubang could make a quid tugging us all out :)

Its a normal Saturday morning ritual at Pontvallain, we have access to hoses and the like.

The weather will be fine, lets keep positive!

I think nearly every year we have done this event, it has bucketed it down on the Thursday then cleared, I would image much the same will happen this year.

We will expect you in Mayenne around 11am, gives us a bell (not too early) on the Thursday morning. We will leave for Arnage around 11.15 as its an hour and half an hour or so.

Yes you're probably right Matt, but at least it will hopefully be a bit easier to clean once we get there. Here's hoping! :D
