1st update:

I'm still sat at my desk (admitedly, having a cup of tea at the mo) sorting out the last few things and then another bl00dy email comes through.


Going to hopefully leave in the next hour or so, drive for an hour to get home, swap the diesel van for the Lambo and then head off to Pompie. Should be in the bar with the others by 5 or 6pm!
(Can't wait to turn my phone and computer off for a few days!!)

Deeply envious and keen to see a lot of updates and pics. I've been to Le Mans a few times but never to the Classic. Next year it's one or the other. As the kids have decided they're coming (they're just about old enough) it'll probably be the non-Classic. In the meantime, I'm looking forward to seeing your adventures unfold, right here on SM. Quick update:

Arrived in Mayenne and checked into the hotel.
The proprietor is a MILF with quite fantastic plastic knockers, there's a view of a river and the bar serves cold beer (which is more than could be said of the bar on the ferry last night!).
Some of us are having a wash and brush up, others are having a quick snooze.
Me and Matt are just about start proceedings in the bar and enjoy a couple of jugs

The drive down has been good so far. Only one sighting of French plod, but fortunately he had other more pressing business than to talk with us.

Right then, off to the bar!
