Morning all, Ebbw Vale today....a Think I can see the end of the consultation with them in site. One more week maybe.

Well the serious work has begun, we got the keys to the unit last Friday.

First job is to strip out the grey back board structure.



7 of the 9 two post ramps turned up, now just the small matter of digging out a meter cube under each post.

The office/reception and workshop (clean room) has started.



Main dealer desks just turned up, for the observant amongst you yes that is a brand new 3200 front emblem on the front. We have two of these sets, they come with a side cabinet too. We only need one so the other is up for grabs, make us an offer.

Workshop still rammed so it’s quite a juggling job at the moment...4 weeks till opening, yikes!

It’s all wallet open at the mo, we also have just purchased the latest Leonardo system coving all modern Maserati and Ferrari as we have 3 Ferrari DCT gearbox rebuilds booked in plus two engine rebuilds (4.2 & 4.7)

I took 6 months out back in 2016, the very first thing I did was buy the GTS the next was to plan my road trip to Bologna. I used the time to get my head straight (well sort of) and then jumped headfirst into a new venture, investing far too much money and now am more stressed than I have ever been ....... it will be 3-4 years before I get another chance to take a break and that will be retirement.

Now that sounds like a fantastic plan! As I've already gone stupid with the Vantage I'm confident that I won't be getting over-excited in the showrooms of any of my local purveyors of automotive exotica. On the rare occasions in the past where I've managed to engineer some gardening leave between jobs we've fecked off on holiday. Last year we had a couple of weeks mucking about in Singapore and Malaysia, but for obvious reasons we won't be getting far this year. Also, the next income stream has always been within view, which has been comforting. No, my days for now are knuckling down to shake my network and see what's around. I imagine a couple of weeks of intensive calls, messaging and catching up, and then the Death Valley of summer.
