I find it a bit odd that many of the people who are saying to me that they are appalled that Sunak has a Green Card giving him the right to live and work in the USA, are also saying to me that they are appalled that the Brexit vote means that none of us have the right to live and work in, say, Belgium. So hanging on to the former is some sort of disloyal un-British crime, and losing the latter is a horrible consequence of petty British nationalism.

Not strictly true , as Brits we still have every right as any other national to work in Belgium , just under different rules ..............like the fallacy that was spread about there being restricted travel to Europe post Brexit, all tosh, what do people think us oldies did before the European Union was devised ..........I was driving out to Iran from UK at the age of 17 twice a year for 5 years just had to obtain the visa;s ........really it wasnt a big deal
