So what are yours?

This thread should be revisited on next years New Year's eve to see how we all got on with them, that'll be amusing.

Mine:
1. Get into and stick to a routine for getting up and going to the office for 7:30am rather than wandering in after 9am.
2. Leave the office before 7pm
3. Reduce drinking to twice a month from daily
4. Waste less time on the internet during the day
5. Go away for Christmas next year!
6. Do bedtime story with Amélie at least 3x a week.

Tough targets Dan, but laudable each and every one. Except perhaps for only drinking twice a month. Nothing wrong with a glass or two of wine to ease into the weekend.

Mine will probably be:

1. Get on top of my personal finances - dull craap like pensions and other tiresome borrocks
2. Get more exercise (getting any less would be impossible) - use my dusty rowing machine at least once a week for at least 3,000 metres
3. Spend more time with the family (and make sure that's my decision!)
4. Finish decorating the part-decorated rooms in my house
5. Pay off credit cards in full every month.

That should see me through to 2014... and beyond!

1. Get back to work and on the line in time for the summer season.
2. Paste the spyder at every opportunity.
3. Start to enjoy life again and not to worry or get p!ssed off about niff-naff and trivia.

Hunger is a state of mind Newton.......people respond to feeling hungry as a negative thing..when its the normal human state.

Anyways....as ever.....NY resolutions are so last century...................it needs to be a lifetime resolution

About 8 years ago I did get into a dieting mindset and actually it wasn't too bad, lost 4 stone in just a few months but cr@p happens and circumstances changed and I lost focus, been a steady gain since. I just need to get my head back in that place again because nobody else can diet for me.

Yep weight again here, I am determined to get down to 13stone again, I will never be able to get below that but I feel happy at that weight.

Got on the scales today, bad time to do it, but put it this way, I have a stone and a half to offload!

DIET...is a 4 letter word........smacks of control and deprivation..................its a lifestyle change thats required.....which a significant number of people have to make if they have the "store it for a rainy day" type physiology.....you cannot change that....but you can change in your attitudes and understanding of eating and living.

Man is a very habitual creature....very reluctant to examine what he does and for what reason..................................

Any ways....onwards and upwards......................and maybe more healthily too....................

Look at it this way, Matt. I was a fat kid, and become a fat adult. About 12 years back I weighed in excess of 23 stone. Just before Christmas, I was 12st 12.

1.5 stone is simples! ;)

Hmm.... If I can shift 4 stone again I'll be very happy, any more and I am starting to get into comfortable lifestyles again. I know when I'm too heavy from the aches and grumbles that come out... At the moment that starts around the 20 stone mark and at the moment I'm back up to 20 stone 4 lb ish Last Chrimbo I busted through 21 stone and I've been there a couple of times this year and also as low as 19 flat. I am sure I can get into the mindset again I just have to do it...
