Dan,
You might manage No.6, but forget the rest mate, you've lost already. My NY Reso's are to enjoy myself as much as I possibly can, I don't think that's a bad thing and there are no rules, just go for it at every opportunity. SO WHEN'S THE NEXT PARTY.....!!!!!!

I still come in at around 12st. 2, loads of dancing, smoking cigars, booze and sex, but it's not that bad really, even though I do sound as though I am complaining, I'm not really....KEEP ON ROCKIN'...!!!

It is, but wtf? Life is too short so grab every experience you can, while you can and enjoy them as much as you possibly can.

Agreed. I take the view that it's better to regret the things you have done rather than the things you haven't.

I will be on a 68 footer so it should be relatively safe.....:thumb:

IMO, if you make a decision for what you regard, at that time, to be for the best reasons then there should never be any regrets because, if you wound the clock back, you would make the same decision. I always try to take a positive out of every bag of sh!t that gets thrown at me because the cumulative effect of those experiences is what makes me the person I am; a juvenile, half mad, Petrolhead! Sorry to get philosophical but I'm still waiting for my hangover to kick in!

I can't say I give much thought to NY resolutions, I prefer to set goals throughout the year, make changes and adjustments as necessary. I guess a longer term goal this year is to take more time off, buy a new house, and get a new contract with a company that isn't a complete shambles!

Yeah....nearly all regrets should remain just as that memories.......not future action points or things that lead to ongoing angst

I think we all want to do so much in life, at some point we will have the odd regret that we did not do something. Nowadays if that happens, I just pencil it in for a point in the future and do it then. We can only fit in so much at a time and it's a fact that we will probably not do everything that we have ever wanted to do, but that's OK because we still have goals that we want to achieve and will continue trying to achieve them until such point as we just can't. Then we should be satisfied that we have done our very best..!!

Day 1 of the diet, thought I'd hit myself hard to kick it off so not more than 800 calories and actually it's not been tough yet... Wonder if I'll be saying that later in the week...?

I doubt it but crack on anyway and think about your power to weight ratio!

They say going on a diet can be bad for the brain, it needs sufficient to keep going and starving it can cause long term damage, I can't remember who said it, or where i heard it, or how old I am, but I wrote it down just in case...????

Not wishing to teach grandmothers to suck eggs etc, but keeping at that kind of calorie intake will force your body into a mode where you'll break down muscle instead of shedding fat unless you do some pretty vigorous exercise as well.
