Hello,
I just bought my first Maserati (also my first car!), a 2005 Coupe. Black. Tan Interior. Loud. Very nice, and so far, very pleased with her. Although my neighbours have commented that they can hear whenever I leave/come ^.^;
So far, I've not had any problems with the car! Which is a great surprise and comfort to me, as this is the first car I've ever owned, and am somewhat clueless with cars ^.^;;
So yes, new driver, new car, 390hp, no wrong can come from this ^.^; (You do not want to see my insurance bill).
I took her for a drive through the Swiss alps (I live in Switzerland), and she handles very well, accelerates/brakes great, and drinks fuel like its going out of fashion. However, I knew she was a thirsty girl before I got her. And this leads me into one of a few questions I had:
Is it possible to add on an endurance/enlarged tank? I plan to mainly do long distance trips (1000km across France) and would like to minimze the number of fuel stops.
The Sat Nav/Console section is not the prettiest in the world if I'm honest. Does anyone have any suggestions on how I can replace the whole thing? Put something a bit more prettier there (leather, or brushed aluminum rather than the plasticy bits). And swap out the satnav screen for something more modern? I do not know much about car customization, and everything I've googled always points to adding more horsepower/noise (and I do not need more horsepower/noise ^.^
Also, when I bought the car, I got NavTeq CDs for all of Central Europe (Germany, Switzerland, Austria), for 2010. Unfortunately, this does not include France/Italy (where I actually want to go). Does anyone know of a way for me to.. get.. these CDs? Seems a waste to throw these away and buy a whole new set from NavTeq (I did not see a trade-in/upgrade option).
I hope it is okey that I am posting here, as I live in Switzerland (rather than the UK where this board belongs), it is just that I'm an expat here, and its easier for me to talk in English ^.^;
Thank you all.
