IMO, You've got to get rid of the squashed pipes to get any meaningful comparison.

Those front cats look to be doing all the restricting not so much the squishes under the rack....

What's the scope for a set of custom headers that sweep back and come over the steering, then come around into the drive shaft tunnel at the first bracket; you could then have a pair of sports cats and away back with whatever muffling you wanted?

I really should get under mine some more!

Loz, I am after X pipes not the H section as I am looking for an increase in volume. Not bothered about any increase in performance as the car is fast enough.

I've tried a few combinations before arriving at what I have got now.
Larini sports cats, factory centre and factory rears, too quiet
Larini sports cats, factory centre and straight through rears, quite loud with a nice tone.
Larini sports cats, unsilenced X-pipe and straight through rears, barking mad. Very loud with a harsher tone but sounds fantastic when going for it.
Larini sports cats, lightly silenced X-pipe and straight through rears. Perfect. Lovely tone, quiet at low rpm/throttle opening but very loud when going for it and mega pops and bangs on the overrun.
Very happy with it now. For the time being!

I'd agree Newton. The squish pipes are a crude looking solution, but no more restrictive than the piping in front of and behind them. The culprits are the very 20th Century cat's. Change the cat's and back boxes to improve the flow / performance. Change the centre section to alter the sonics.

When chatting to David @ Larini when he was doing the research , he said the circumference area of the 4 round pipes was 75% more than the 2 squished pipes , therefore increasing the efficiency of the previous flow, well thats the theory

With just the rear boxes swopped over for the straight throughs, I get what Benny/Ian has...though I have a H pipe which supposedly improves the flow of gases/few extra BHP.....loud on hard accelration, like wise on overrun.......:)....some boom/resonance at 2500K revs though....just dip the window a bit!

Hi boomerang, which dealer did you use so that we can just follow what you have done instead of trying others.

Also it will be good if you can let us know the cost of it. Cheers!

Hi Abyss,

You should know that i live in Holland and that i mounted the decats myself.
It is an easy job, so the cheapest way to go is ordering the parts ( 707,- euro's excl. VAT, UK Pounds???) and mount them yourself or let someone capable do the job for you.
It took me less then one hour to get it done.

Hi Boomerang, sorry for the confusion. I actually meant where did you get the product from? Not who installed them for you?

The reason is seems no one can actually get this supersprint part from Australia so far. I thought it might be easier to get it thru your reseller and hopefully they can post it to Australia.

Hi Abyss,

Will check if they would be willing to.
Could you PM your adress info, so i can check how much transport would cost?
