Brexit Deal

Bercow the Speaker has spoken! Order!!! No third chance for May's 'deal' unless it's totally different which it won't be.

CLEAR THE LOBBIES!!!

So lets get this right.

The deal May brings back to Parliament has to be totally different.
So slight changes ain't going to cut the mustard.

This then means (I guess) there is no deal left to take to the EU as they have already said they will not negotiate.
So if the EU won't negotiate, and we won't change the deal, that means we aren't leaving the EU as Parliament has voted to not leave without a deal.

Errrr where does that leave us? As the EU won't extend the deadline without good reason.

Do they chuck us out (unlikely) or do we end up staying as you can't leave when it suits as we have invoked Article 50.

What a mess.

Tories are canning themselves now on HoC live, moaning at Bercow like public school kids being told no tuck this weekend. Brilliant stuff!! It's all in Erskine May, I don't know why it's a surprise. Common sense, otherwise the same deal could be put in front of the house ad nauseam until enough people accidentally go through the wrong lobby door, like Baldrick and it gets passed.

I fooking love John Bercow.

Also I understood its not possible to extend or suspend Art. 50, only rescind it (and start it again if there are enough Brexiters still alive).

Here’s an idea Mrs May; rescind arrival 50 so ‘all bets are cancelled’. Walk out of the Brussels room, walk back in with a brand new arrival 50 and say this time we are starting negotiations from a NO DEAL starting point, now negotiate a deal that we can work with.

I think she's got other stuff to cope with now, like standing down like she she said she would and/or a general election....

Arguably what she should have done in the first place.

You hit the nail on the head. A small swing. And leave had yet a smaller majority.
The thing that bugs me about this whole mess is the fact that, yes, leave won, something personally should be respected. However, should we get a second vote I'll take it. (Don't hate the player, hate the game).
Is the fact that the leave camp seem to want to completely ignore the wants of the 49% of the population that didn't want to leave. Surely you have to appease that 49%?
Otherwise you will have practically half the population disgruntled for ever and a day. This causes division across the country which eventually come to some kind of civil unrest. This is why the leave deal is so difficult to agree.
May has to appease the leavers as they won, but also has to appease the remainers.

The leave camp seems to think as the won, sod everyone who voted to remain.

I learnt about the 'tyranny of the majority' at university... It really applies to this situation: https://en.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/Tyranny_of_the_majority

Regrettable news from SMDRP (Sports Maserati Democracy Reinforcement Party) Campaign Headquarters this morning.
It is with sadness that we have to confirm the disconnection of our 24hr answerphone number

+44 50 108 108 0 Within the next 72hrs due to unnecessary abuse and nuisance cold calls.

We cannot idly standby and allow our highly skilled, focussed, extremely sensitive and some might add-handsome, staff (me) to be subject to such nonsense.

Worthy of particular mention was;

1.The call from an E Tusk (name potentially incorrect due to his unclear funny accent). Au contraire, Mr Tusk, you can check into H3LL with your elephant skinned handbag, not us!

2. The drunken, stumbling, incoherent, hiccup filled rant from John Kerr.(a Glaswegian claiming to have spent a lot of time in Luxembourg]

“Winner (hic), winner (hic) no Brexit dinner (hic)!”

Repulsive bragging as far as SMDRP are concerned

3 The call we answered directly from some guy called Vanhofstadt who started threatening us with a guillotine - so we cut him off.

3. Finally an update. Can the “meaningful” cold calls please stop T May!

You’ve tried to sell us something appalling Twice now and we aint buying your “sh1t”

We’ve blocked your number so a THIRD call isn’t possible as our lawyers have advised us not to accept your diabolical drivel.

On more positive news our incredible growth continues. 25% increase overnight secures Famous Five spots for all. Apologies to our last sign up who will assume the position of “Timmy” the dog.
We hope you are Houses of Parliament trained.

Carry on.

What a mess.
legal position is no deal (vote wasn’t legally binding)
Or
Recind article 50 canceling Brexit.

Coup almost complete.
