I have a question I’d welcome people’s thoughts on, or at least a perspective of whether this also happens to you.
I use a Fitbit to track my resting heart rate, and this morning (according to my Fitbit) it was 56. However, on Wednesday when I put my Fitbit back on after a few days it was 66, and it’s dropped by 2 beats per day since then. This is something I often see when I’m travelling with work, and my resting rate shoots up when I don’t get enough sleep (or maybe when I drink too much - as the two often coincide)...
I’m expecting it to continue dropping until it gets to around 52 ish, which is what I think my resting rate tends to be after a period of a stable sleep pattern and limited alcohol, but I’m curious as to whether other people’s heart rate does this, and whether you think the key driver is sleep or alcohol... or is it just a **** measurement device in terms of the Fitbit?
