At what point is there no difference

All that happens is you migrate towards laphroig and the bonkers flavours because these are the ones you can still tell the difference! its good fun regardless, as long as you don't mix it with beers or soft drinks and just stick to single malts its amazing how much you can drink.

Nope, me and Liz went to a Scottish art gallery in Edinburgh a number of years ago and they gave us a some very expensive Scottish Whisky......It tasted more like dirt than the cheaper stuff, but it was smooth and didn't burn like the sh1t stuff.....Liz tipped her's in the plant pot when no one was looking.....Awful stuff but then you have to have a taste for it and I certainly do not.

With or without the E?

One of those late night conversations that happen often here, mainly when we get the Englishman, the Scotsman and Irishman sat around the table.

Aberlour Abunadh is a proper beast. I'd not normally dilute a single malt but found I needed to drop a splash or two of water into an Abunadh.
I do the same MrCoop.

You should try water in all of them. You may find it something of an eye opener.
Something that I try with every new one I buy. Some seem to improve more than others.

I take water and ice with all blends. Ice is must. For some of them I use a splash of Angustura bitters and really lifts up a dull or very difficult to finish dram.
Single Malt on ice but can't get myself to dilute the it further.
Using ice masks the flavours imho

Almost sacrilege up here but I can't stand even the smell of it, no matter if it is malt or blended........not that daft on irn bru or haggis either so guess there is a question about my ability to passing the Scottishness test........I do like porridge though ;)

In that case probably no salt and with sugar or jam! Lol

Haggis has to be Cockburns of Dingwall.
