... or spicy haggis, which is also deep fried but a squarer shape, not the traditional pudding shape.

New one on me Allan!
I was however in Forfar on Saturday and was treated to a Bridie from the bakery which I was told was the best of the 2 in the town.

Regualar basis !!!....How you still alive ... Heart attack on a plate....

Regular basis as in at least once a week for the 7 months i was working there. Im lucky i can eat and drink what i want without putting any weight on at all. If your up that way try it.

Other deep fried delights include deep fried pizza , mars bars, cream eggs (seasonal) and curly wurly's :)

Just got a bottle of Balvenie 12 YO Triple Cask @ 45.00 GBP from duty free. Normally retail @ 80.00 :)

Some great offers to be had for the travelling whisky lover.

Just trying to dry out my streaming cold!

Auchentoshan Three Wood, not a bad drop.

Still can't spell or say that correctly without looking it up!

Thread resurrection time...

In advance of my mother-in law’s arrival for Christmas and New Year, (and thinking there’s a possibility of a bottle or two as a Christmas present) I’ve just done a stock take of my whisky cupboard... luckily a few of the bottles are close to being empty...

Quite a cosmopolitan collection. :) Not sure about those wee things at the front though.

Are these for pickling you or the mother in law?

I appear to only know one of those! Since I travel less, I find my ability to pick up decent malt has declined. However, a bottle of Lgavullin is present, as is a bottle of Winter's Gold (two of Mrs C's faves). A rather fine bottle of Ledaig (courtesy of a gent ex of this parish and his engagement trip) and a very fine, and now sadly nearly empty bottle of Clan Deney 1969 that was a present for my 40th. Managed to make it last 10 years :D
