Well, what kills an engine? Why do we assume, once past 110k, an engine is on its way out? Why do people have this assumption, the 3200 and 4200, can no do big miles?
Right, engine life is down to fatigue, and friction. Both Maser engines are low friction, so good oil, and regular changes, sorts that problem. Fatigue is usually, because an engine part, wears, and produces fatigue. But the Maser engine has race bred parts, so fatigue is built out. So, i cannot see any problems, with high miles.

I think the assumption, despite what that sqaurking bird says, is that they have a hard life. Vicars and old ladies don't buy them and poodle around in them. Aggressive people buy them and drive them hard and thus I feel this is where the assumption comes from....right or wrong.

That is the key....meticulous maintenance and being a bit more vigilant ie....spotting a potential problem early and dealing correctly with it.....but then thats the same with any supercar.....
