Didn't watch the last series but decided to give it a go tonight. Shouldn't have bothered, it was the usual tosh with far too much much time given to Clarkson just to boost his over-inflated ego ! I actually thought the star in the car with Damien Lewis was the best part, being a fan of "Homeland". 3/10 and that is being generous.

Dem, it's still on (just).

Mr Cambio, it'll be on BiTorrent very soon.

If you're not familiar with that particular technology, PM me. I'm sure that I'll be able to direct you to a suitable resource <nudge nudge, wink wink>

Thank you!

Won't it be on iPlayer? Simpler than downloading bit torrents, surely?

Hey at least you guys (and gals) get the "real" Top Gear.
While I agree that Clarkson usually gets too much air time, the show is pretty entertaining most times!!
The American one is utter you-know-what!!!!!

American Top Gear.... take this- :firing10:

Oh it was a bit of fun!
The P45 was entertaining and did make me laugh, even if staged.
I thought Clarkson was looking very old though...more so now when viewed in HD!

I found it entertaining...and after all it is a long time since it was any way factual.

Re P45, I would have added a scene where he squeeses past the 'dragons' as they were stuck in traffic with a kindly remark or two.

Yeah the USA offspring of same..........is so remote from the original....hard to believe the Yanks even funded more than a single series

I thought the little bit where Jeremy filled up the P45's tank and hadn't done the minimum 2 litre delivery was very good indeed - made me laugh more than I have in ages. It's little bits like that which I love, as well as the bits about fast cars. While I'm sure he didn't actually pour the extra into the bin - I love the concept of him doing it!

Mrs N has opted for a soak in the tub so it looks like a lads' Top Gear telly session. Looking forward to seeing the Pagani Hyuwarararara on the track.

Mine did the same, so the TV was left to me and daughter's boyfriend (another petrol head - so all round good bloke, although he needs to stop buying Japenese pretend sports cars namely his current 350Z)
The rallying Bentley was sublime - I cant believe they where allowed to do that, some of the spectators looked awful close at times - probably rooted to the spot as a £150K Bentley blasts past at 140mph on a gravel track, not quite your WRX.

The Pagani sounded too quite or me, Hammond looked like he was lying down.

I love this program - I watch it because it entertains me, I sort of like Clarkson, even if he ESB (ends up speaking bollox) there is some sense in some of what he says. I woud vote for him as Prime Minister - becaue (sadly) it would never happen but if it did imagine the fun (petrol would be free, any car with less than 300bhp would be banned etc etc - utter chaos for the country but getting about would be bliss) Information value is virtually nil.

Heres to next week's one hour of drivel - I cant wait!

I switched on 22 minutes late and missed all remnants of Maserati, iPlayer to the rescue I guess.

Agree about Hammond....How did he see over the dash....He looked really uncomfortable........

It would be a good program if we actually got to see some "TOP GEAR", instead of the stacks of garbage they decide to put on. You can have some funny banter on a motoring show, but if it's called Top Gear it would be nice to see some..??

I think I spotted a black Stradale on 2 clips but it could have been something else.

I though t I spotted one in there too..... All in all same old, same old but it's earning them millions so why would they change it. I was wanting the P45 to fall over and a London bus to drive over Clarkson but it didn't happen so we'll get the rest of the series now. Still the rest of the evening was really good with Cox and McRae.

I too thought Clarkson looked old, then I looked in the mirror :as005:

Enjoyed the show but the last segment with the P45 went way too long, it was obviously paced to finish off the timeslot, the bit with the Dragons at the end was dire! Perhaps the ideas cupboard is getting bare, which is understandable I guess.
