Interesting, Andy! But go on, do share. I'm guessing Singh. We've met a few times and you definitely have something of the subcontinent about you, as well las a whiff of warrior.

Slightly different reasons, but my uncle was separated from his sisters in the war when he joined the navy. He'd been born in a workhouse (horse-trader mother, never knew his father and it seems like she didn't either), so it was either the navy or starve. When he went off to war none of them ever heard of the others again. A few years back my cousin found someone to track them down and found one sister in Florida and one in Kent. They're close as ever now (emotionally, if not physically!).

In less interesting news, today I shall be working from home. Yesterday was a mofo 14-hour marathon. Today may be similar so I'm planning to take tomorrow off as much as I can.

A lovely drive on very quiet roads to the office to deal with legal matters - and whereas the roads were quiet the GTS in Sport was it, and sounded lovely with the windows cracked open just a little.

Enjoys your days and stay safe, I mean Alert ;)

Will do Matt......All I will have to do is tell you my real name and there will be no doubt where I am from....I will leave that for another day though ......

You're Scottish aren't you Andy? :too_sad:

Hang on, you're not French are you? Descendant of Napoleon with your height. Or lack of it! :p

Morning all......WFW again.....Could get used to this anomaly.

I have a visit from the adoption people today. I'm adopted so have been looking into my actually bloodline. More like my wife wants to know more rather than me. I was adopted when I was one so as far as I'm concerned my parents are the Mum and Dad who has bought me up but it is interesting to find out. I have had one meeting a few months ago so know where I came from and my real name but they have found out more information and have lots of info apparently. This is rare from adoptions back in 1965. Said they have letters from my grandfather and more. My story is a simple one my birth mother was very young and back then it was frowned upon so I was adopted. None of this bothers me as I know life was very different in 1965 and I have had a great childhood and was loved and looked after as a child. I am just finding it interesting to find out where I came from.

My wife said she so hoped I was Welsh as she is and I am always having ago about this. Well luckily I'm not.....but when I came home with my real name it lett her in laughter.....and anyone else I told........When I'm feeling a brave I will share with you all.......
Andyk that’s a very touching life story.
I think you’ve been very brave sharing this much.
If you choose to share anymore, I look forward to reading the happy ending.
Best, Wattie.

No payouts for self-employed here expected till the end of June and I expect the amounts and numbers that qualify will be significantly lower than people expect!
registered today, very simple process, all approved and will be in my bank in 6 days, perhaps I can afford a better watch now!
