Morning all. You can tell not much is going on when people are talking about their bin day.
Ours is today as well.

Found out I don't qualify for the self employed hand out (that you can apply for today). Funny that, I think most on here will also fail.

My job for today is to find a car wash to get the MiL's car washed. As I certainly don't want to do it.
No it's not essential but it would appear you can do what you want and go where you like from today!
That does not sound fair, but I am sure you mentioned before that you received a 10k grant?
Perhaps I am mistake .....

If you've earned over 50k you don't qualify.
Yes I did get the grant.
With the money I've paid the taxman since being self employed I thought I'd take whatever was going if the government are giving it out.

Rules is rules, so I'll just carry on.

A Romanian family brought me bricks today, 2 hours from order to delivery, the mum in the back of the van passed them out to the son, the son then passed them to the dad who stacked them for me! A lot easier than the numpty yesterday... & socially isolated too. I have enough to finish now!

Also be very careful leaving them out tonight , you may well find the cousins come to collect them in the dead of night , with the nephew passing them over your fence to the niece who passes them to the sister inlaw who passes them to the uncle who packs them in the same van that delivered them to you LOl :saifi: sorry Newton couldnt resist

Morning all......WFW again.....Could get used to this anomaly.

I have a visit from the adoption people today. I'm adopted so have been looking into my actually bloodline. More like my wife wants to know more rather than me. I was adopted when I was one so as far as I'm concerned my parents are the Mum and Dad who has bought me up but it is interesting to find out. I have had one meeting a few months ago so know where I came from and my real name but they have found out more information and have lots of info apparently. This is rare from adoptions back in 1965. Said they have letters from my grandfather and more. My story is a simple one my birth mother was very young and back then it was frowned upon so I was adopted. None of this bothers me as I know life was very different in 1965 and I have had a great childhood and was loved and looked after as a child. I am just finding it interesting to find out where I came from.

My wife said she so hoped I was Welsh as she is and I am always having ago about this. Well luckily I'm not.....but when I came home with my real name it left her in laughter.....and anyone else I told........When I'm feeling a brave I will share with you all.......

Lovely news Andy , my wife went through the same kind of story around 10 years ago , she found a long lost brother that too was adopted out at the age of 1 , been an interesting journey for the family , unfortunately it caused divisions when the mother died a few years back

That is an interesting story Andy. Let us know how it progresses. Where were you from then?

Morning all, woken by the cat an hour ago knocking something over downstairs.

Punch bag turned up yesterday so I can get the old shoulders back up.

More workshop today, still very busy. Laying the carpet tiles in our office/client waiting room so that should be jobbed and ready to move in.
