Morning all. Very grey and not that warm here. Still curry is planned for dinner (Home made from Tastesmiths. Totally recommended)

Mrs C wants to go for a run (actually she doesn't want to at all but there we are) then it's to Luton again to try and find out why my mother's laptop (which she keeps dropping) won't boot. Sadly rather essential as she's vulnerable, so stuck inside, on her own, and has early dementia. And she's struggling.
Mined ewe she struggles with the laptop, but...

Take care, all

Morning All,
Bright, lovely sunshine here,
Daughter knows the score, coming off Tesco night shift, she’s brought bbq gear home...

In these **** times, she had some really positive news this week.
She had an all day Skype interview on Monday for a teaching role and she smashed it out of the park. So proud of her. She’s worked hard to qualify, her scores in previous parts of the course has meant they have assessed and passed her off as a newly qualified teacher...can’t help thinking it’s going to get harder from here in tho.....
Have a great weekend,
Dave

Morning, all. Nice enough day. Bit cloudy, but warm. A bit more work on the window frames today and hopefully paint them tomorrow. BBQ later, and a good walk. We’ve been doing some local exploring and can now get to the coast with pretty minimal time walking by a road. Top priority job, though, is to take the Vantage out for some essential errands. Like taking the Vantage out, which feels pretty essential to me.

Are tyre flat-spots are real thing, by the way?

Stay sane, all.

Great news, Dave. Congratulations to her and you should be as proud as you clear are :)

Yeah...I’m really happy that she has finally stuck at something and decided on a career...
It’s took some time...but, she is turning her life round and going in the right direction..

Morning all, got my self-employed grant award off HMRC last evening and got £6.8k so happy with that. Jeanette has had notice from the insurance that Alfa are now shipping parts so they want the car to repair it after she got pinned in the supermarket by a runaway car! I need to wash and vacuum it at some point.

mostly this weekend I will be building project patio (no marbles will be harmed) and using my bargain buy; a 110v mini wacker plate I bought on eBay in the week. £45 works a treat.

Good news re; Miss Walker.

Enjoy working on the French motor Matt, I’ll give you a shout in a bit.

Have fun all...

Yes very real , some cars for some reason more susceptable than others , 2004 I bought a new/ex demo RX8 for the missus return from working in China for 11 years , her return was delayed by 4 months and the car was sitting on the drive , when it came time to drive it to collect he from the airport it drove like a tank , at anything over 30mph , took it to the dealers , as it was evident from the mileage the car had still done less than 20 miles since purchase , New set of pirelli's and it was sorted ..................... so the answer is i always make a point of moving a car at least every 2 weeks

Lovely to hear some positive news Dave and we wish her all the best in any future posting , wish i had the same enthusiasm for any thing at the moment , one seems to have to build in so many contingency plans fo the most minor of things at the moment , just going to B and Q is a bit of a commando raid at half speed ...

Alas , im waiting, still adhering to the train of thought that all good things come to those who wait . Still things are easing and we will get some movement soon im sure , its not as if i havent experienced it before , but i do miss that filling staion experience of parting with best part of a 100 quid and rewarding my self with some heavy right foot work

Good morning all. Supposed to get close to 90deg here today, must get to work on the new brake lines (took forever to get here from Italy) and get back on the road. Sitting here typing and watching my fishing line for breakfast to take the bait. 70126
Thought you guys might like to see my river.

Well up here in Cumbria it still bloody freezing ( 9 degrees) and weve still got the central heating on.
Lovely river by the way...all ours are virtually dried up now... no rain for 2 months now.

Hello all, overcast but warm, lunch in the garden watching the tits (down boys) popping in and out of the bird box - nice to see life goes on uninterrupted for some.

Really should nip round to the lock up and dig the Mustang out (assuming she is still there !) not been to see her for 6-8 weeks let alone give her a run out.

BBQ and beer later followed by pool competition in the man shed.
