Thanks Miles all signed up. Do you think it will make a difference?

Not a chance IMO. I have signed up too, even though it doesn't bother me either way. However, I think fans should be able to watch all motorsport without having to pay for it.

Oh enough of the football analogy for Pete's sake! It's massively oversubscribed as a stadium-based spectator sport (like cricket) and so corporate sponsorship and TV broadcast rights hold massive sway.

But what about all the other sports? The fans that support them week in week out, they count for nothing?

Grim is a fair description Miles.......sorry to put it out there.....believe you me....the owners and purveyors if needs be wouldn't blink an eye if they had to fill the stadium/track/hall with freebie tickets.....these events now have become so important, they have their own life, rhythm, cycle and means of generating revenue.

Fans were last truly important up until the late 80s..........

The only way to protest is by hitting them in the pocket.........................

Signed & facebooked...

Will get onto face book now.........

Agree Miles......lots of fans have supported the sport thrpough good and bad times.....Times when people went away from F1 because as it was boring (OK some think it is now)...They will loose loads of fans that have kept the sport alive........

Where's Enzo, wonder what he thinks as he is a huge fan of the sport.

Signed up too. I think the BBC could have saved a few pennies by getting rid of the extensive management structures and get people to do a full days work! My feelings are about choice, in as much there is none unless you point your dish towards Greece and get on the nova channels which are a lot cheaper than sky! At least the moto GP is still free. I don't think bernnie is interested in either bikes or maseratis so he won't be reading this!!

I was listening to Steve Wright yesterday driving back from Thetford and he had been interviewing John Bishop and he closed by saying "we must let you go because you must be exhausted, you were up early to be on the breakfast show!" JB responded with shock: "I've had real jobs you know; this was a late start & I've only been chatting!!!" SW struggles to respond to that...

Moments later I nearly had an BMW M5 land on me!!!
