Same here, must be a mid to late 80’s car, the gear knob and the passenger side logo don’t ring a bell - yet. Possible clues: LHD, the position of the ignition, the light switch. We will get it eventually.
You're welcome

Brings back some memories seeing Lola… I grew up in Huntingdonshire and my mates dad used to work at Lola before they closed, building various race car chassis frames etc… I still have a sheet piece of Lola carbon fibre he gave me 25years ago…
Question of the day...
How many world championships?
10 I reckon
I was trying to eliminate - definitely not US, probably not French/Italian as they use stalks for light switches. So do most Japanese cars of that era. It’s not a Lada. The gear lever looks very basic/low quality.Im not convinced the switch gear is Ford though. So based on the driver wearing a shellsuit and that the keys are in the ignition so we can rule out Liverpool I reckon it might be Eastern Bloc.

Aha! you got the twist in my question. People would think Surtees 1, Hill 2, Stewart 3. But Surtees won 3 x 350cc and 4 500cc solo motorcycle championships too making him 8 times World Champion.oooh I might be wrong, did Surtees win 350cc championships as well as the 4 x 500?
Oof yes please - despite buying my first Maser this year I still fancy a 124 Spider....

Saw this beauty at the MITCAR show at Gaydon recently, such a simple and very elegant design from Pinifarina from every angle, without the excessive detailing of other cars from the period....
