Being really sad I’m trying to work out the vehicle. Glove box latch is very Ford but that’s not helping.

Respect to the crew of this BMW 2002 ti on the recent RAC Rally changing a rear drive shaft in 10 minutes on a life stage.
Respect to the Marshalls to that let it happen safely.

They’re a fully independent rear end, the driveshaft just bolts to an output flange.

Right hand photo was taken in October ‘55 and shows Count Domenico Agusta on the left and a fresh faced John Surtees signing to race for him. Apparently, John had to be given a nod of approval from the Count’s mother, through her black mourning veil. Domenico went on to buy OSCA from the Maserati brothers in 1963.
