Correct, some very interesting cars there. The designer was Gandini, you can see his signature rear wheel arch shape that he also used on the Countach

Used to go every year when in the UK one of the Best events I reckon with the quality of the cars there.
Before Covid the event had lost some of its sparkle, and even more so now. Lamborghini is tucked away in a corner these days, Ferrari stand not as big as it used to be, and I saw no sign of the Maserati Club UK (Did I miss it Ewan?). A number of the veteran/vintage and modern classic clubs made a real effort - with Porsche in particular showing how it can be done so it is still worth going, although a 45 minute queue to exit the car park reflects badly on some seriously cr@p site management (I wonder who had the bright idea of removing pay booths from the car parks ).

Love the Caddy Il Monstre. They ran a coupe at Le Mans in ‘50 as well. Despite being virtually stock and the doors being locked at the traditional start it finished 10th

One thing about the NEC bash is that it showcases stuff we might not otherwise see, a case in point being Derek Drinkwater's recreation of Le Monstre rather than the Cunningham original, albeit a very passable one. A bit of background on it's history:
