For those of you that have met me you will understand that I would look ridiculous with an off the shoulder number and stilettos on.

That was a Gordon Murray design. Absolutely undriveable, scary, piece of poo according to the drivers. Although Watson might have said it in slightly more colourful language!
That'd be all the drivers in Lauda's rearview who went on to complain and have it banned..? (jus' kiddin'..)
I didnt know that though...

The issue was maintaining the vacuum to the track. Sometimes apparently you’d turn into a corner and have the full fan effect and sometime due to the shape of the track or condition of the skirts you’d have no effect. Nothing scarier than having no idea if the car is going to grip or not.

The interview I heard with John Watson was basically “thank **** they banned it”, he was Lauda’s team mate.

That looks pretty good - know the story behind it?
It is the 1992 Maserati OPAC prototype. 3.2L BiTurbo. Here is the full story:

A busy afternoon in the workshop on the 66 R16.
Straightened up the damaged sills from people jacking in the wrong places.
Rear wheel cylinders were seized and leaking.
Master cylinder leaking at the pedal but was saved after a strip down.
A full fluid change.
Headlights out and fitted later halogen ones.
Removed the front fog lights and won those from the customer.
Love working on the old stuff so satisfying.
