Ive never been monaco so would want an overnight stay to see few things.....

Tend to agree Frank , but its always a must do when in the area , i find it makes sense to enjoy the 50% rate decrease just outside Monaco and go inside to do what you want, ie gloat at the cars the casino and the harbour , being a smaller fella its nice now and again to hang out with the big knobs

I know what you mean Loz.....sometimes nice to gawp but, thats about it, take it for what it is.....then leave it for what it is. Traipsed down by harbour at Antibes in the spring, the number and value of the hundreds of yachts was breath taking. Quite like Cannes though in preference.

Cannes is a great place now , it used to be considered similar to Monte carlo and Nice , but in latter years its become by far the poorer brother and more realistic and down to earth prices, more suited to my(cheapskate) pocket hahahah nothing like value for money in my book , happy to leave the super rich to pay over the odds

The coast road (not the motorway) along the coast from Monaco to NIce is stunnig to drive just a little frustratingly slow at times... but if we are in a convoy it should be a good craik!

Too right Loz - the visit is to see Monte Carlo but no need to stay there, get way more for our money just outside. However, a Saturday night in Casino Square is a must, one of those life experiencesthat needs to be crossed off...

Great, we're over ten which means even if we lose a few it's still a goer!

Paul, Enzo and I will discuss during our trip to Europe this weekend (woohoo!) and we'll come up with some dates and then run them past the forumites. It'll be a fantastic trip, one to blow away the winter cobwebs!

We can keep it casual?? Mrs would want to stay outsode monaco but spend time there so she can see it but you have all seen it before so we can take an extra night and see you all next day??

Dem , am sure we can come to a variety of arrangements, will need to sort out one or two dates options first, then decide whether to landbridge via GB or do Ireland to Cherbourg....hoping I can fit it in and it works out.

Sounds like fun, only been to Monaco once before for the F1.
And that time I was only really there for the race, arrived by helicopter about midday and left again by about 4pm I think, so would enjoy a proper look around.
