2700 miles in just under 50 hours of driving.
19.2 mpg, 640 litres of fuel costing 940euros/£735.
One failure on the car - blown brake lamp, replaced at cost of 1.37 euro from an ordinary spares shop in France.
What a trip - the QP performed without a single fault, save for the brake lamp on the way back.
As far as I know, there were only two cars that broke down on the trip, including the French guys. (I know there was a cracked sump, but impact damage doesn't really count as a breakdown for me). Both Ghiblis, and both were water pumps. That's 70-odd Maseratis, including 3 Mistrals which all drove a similar distance. And people think they are unreliable....
Pretty much all the cars were driven over mountain passes, driven in stop/start traffic in the city, hammered around the track (including the Mistrals) and endured the high-speed runs on the motorways. They are simply superb cars - they just need to be used
