My Parking sensor have packed up again, looks like I'll have to get used to parking it the old fashion way!

Its a pain Jay, is it not.

Its such a long car and I still have no idea where the corners are. Mine came down to a failed sensor on the front.

It was the front right sensor that failed a few weeks ago, not sure which of them has gone this time. It is a pain to park as the front is so long and low and easy to scrape on the kerbs if your not careful. Reckon they got some type of design fault on the sensors reckon its the water at high speed that ruins them.

It is such a pain to have to get them to collect the car etc for something so small.

mine was front right (as you stand in front of the car) inner grill sensor so you could be on the right track with the water ingress thing.

so the dealer took the car in, charged the battery and checked it. 10 days later it wont ******* start again, back on the flat bed and back to the dealer. starting to regret getting it now. if it does it again Im going to get rid of it.

I know that it is a pain but these cars - like Ferraris - do not take to short runs and infrequent use. Hard to deal with if you do not have off road parking/garage so as to put it on a trickle charger. Understand if you sell it but why not use it more or rent a garage?

Thats a shame Wardlem, maybe if they can help you nail down the issue and resolve it, you might just fall in love with her again!!

Have you driven it during those ten days Wardlem? Just curious as it shouldn't be loosing it's charge like that. It feels like you have a drain, perhaps being exacerbated by short journeys (though I'm surmising on that)

The other option is to take it to another dealer. If you bought it from HR Owen then take it to Maranello.

Not read this from start, but if battery not in great condition for whatever reason......trying to charge it will only postpone the inevitable anyways......drain is next......let us know.....:)

Demand a new battery. Looking back at the service history of my GTS it had a new battery fitted after a similar experience.

I drive it about once a week and have never had issue.

I think you have to also assume that the battery is being drained by something too so any competent auto electrician can perform a voltage drain test and identify what is drawing the current.

Someone else did this on here and it came back to the drivers seat motion switch, the tracker is also a know culprit have it disconnected temporarily it's a 30 minute job to do assuming its in the same place as the GT

Lancaster's service centre told me today that it takes at least a 20 minute journey to regain the charge lost by starting it.

Main beam

When the main beam is on (lever pushed towards the dash), the lever is just a fraction too far away from the steering wheel for the main beam to knocked off easily without moving my hand from my preferred driving position.

Should I be writing a strongly worded letter of complaint to each individual Board member at Maserati voicing my raging fury that they allowed a car to be made with such a fundamental flaw? ;-)

....me thinks a measured response would be self-immolation in the main piazza in Modena.....;)
