Bigish crash before the first corner mixed it all up, Romain Grosjean was trying to get out of the way of a Fezza and came accross and clipped MS's wheel sending him into a sipin in the breaking zone; much caos ensued!

Have to agree from what started out to be a typicaly boring start and race , the interesting and exciting bit happened because of the demise of the front runners , Cant fault Alonso he drove a perfect race , kudos to Kimi for Lotus and Shcuee well he is probably going to lose his 3rd place and only podium in 7 years because he operated the DRS and didnt slow down under yellow flags ................mmmmmmshame not but all in all a good race biggest shame was jensen not performing and Lewis taken out by an apprentice shcuee by the name of Maldanado

regards loz

I have to say I'm warming to the man. I thought he was a spoilt kid the way he behaved in his McLaren days but I have to doff my cap to the way he's been driving since: there is no one out there as relentless as him. At the moment I think he is carrying that car, it has no right to be finishing so high in every race. That is the mark of a true champion.

Great race. Great podium.

Very true.

Reminds me of Schumi in the early Ferrari years making the most of a middle of the road car.

So, who is going to take Lewis seat at Maclaren?

JB will see his days out there, so who do we recon will get it?

I thought Alonso, but I can see Seb V getting it but Maclaren do have a history of running British drivers....but Mercedes might have some influence.

Lewis is off to Mercedes.

WHY?

Cn't make any sense of that move.

It seems like a mixture of spite and self-pity: "they don't appreciate me, I'll show them". But the Mercedes car is deeply flawed and unlikely to prove much better next year, strange move indeed.

More interesting is what happens to Schuey. Autosport says "Schumacher's manager Sabine Kehm was seen in lengthy talks with Sauber at last weekend's Singapore Grand Prix, and there will be a vacancy with Sergio Perez set to become Hamilton's replacement at McLaren." What a sad way for a great champion to end his days: plodding around in a no-hope team getting in the way of the title contenders. When he announced his return to F1 I was really hoping it wouldn't be René Arnoux all over again but sadly it seems to be the case. How the mighty have fallen.
