Ive always 90% of my driving life, had an Italian car. Tried Mercs and BMW's, and Audi's, But time after time, iam drawn back to an Italian.
It all started as a 16 year old apprentice, at a Fiat Franchise. We had 2 Italian mechanics, one was the foreman. Both typically pig headed, and rude, but the Foreman, knew his way around Ferraris etc. So we got in all the exotica, and I was like a big kid in a sweet shop, and never changed!
This is my second wife, and she knows what im like with cars. Very understanding actually, and she rather like Maseratis. Just shown her a pic of Shiltec's Maser for sale! She is colour consious though. Think you need to see a car in the flesh, to determine it. The right interior colour is paramount. And seen some Masers, with hidious interior colours!! Why oh why??

My wife has very little interest in cars. She knows I'm borderline obsessed (well over the line in her opinion) and just about tollerates it. The tricky times come when we talk about changing a car...our priorities are quite different.

Wife: is it small? Nice to drive? Not chavvy. Decent MPG, decent servicing/insurance costs, sensible depreciation, cheap tax, relaible.
Mine: how much do I want one?

To be fair, she's wamred to the Maserati illness and now tells me when she's seen another. She's yet to drive my GS though, which I find a bit disappointing. Every other female I've ever met, ever, wants to drive it. Not my wife, though.

Off she goes picks up her mates and does what every respectable woman would do........cruises around making other blokes dribble......it's so funny to see :saifi4:

one in one out doesnt take into account the cost of each car , it must be a wife thing, as 3 cars is much worse than one car thats costs twice as much as the three put together

I've never had a passion for cars AT ALL and then I saw and heard a GT. My girlfriend's told me she's not getting rid of her car and there's not enough room on the drive for another one so "you need to buy a bigger house so that you'll have somewhere to park it before you can buy one". My two most visited websites have suddenly become PistonHeads and RightMove.

My OH loves old Alfas, Lancias & Fiats. She's dying to buy an original Fiat 500. Or 'a butterbean' as she calls them. She also fancies getting a 1950's Alfa Guilietta spyder. Furthermore, she adores riding in the 4200.

She's also of the opinion that when we retire to Suffolk, we should have six cars. (!) She's perfect. But, I would say that as I'm biased.

There is an expanding group of forum W a G's?

Mrs Tee really enjoys getting together with the other forum girls and although she's no petrol head she loves the prospect of the Krimpus bash and genuinely had a blast on the MC trip.

She's no petrol head, but there's something about these Maserati's that seems to rub off on the other halves.

Long may it last as it makes justifying the expense just that little bit easier. :D

Is it me or am I the only one who has a wife with no interest in cars whatsoever. She thinks I am spending too much time looking at car websites, being in car clubs, going to fields with cars in, cleaning the car...

My wife loves cars......but she does think I spend too much time on here...

I was in two minds when I was looking for a toy; SL55 AMG or Maser spyder. She wasn't; It would be just another Merc and not special enough so we will get the spyder. Yes dear. Job jobbed! They just need a little bit of guidance!,

My mrs loved the GTS and was happy to go anywhere in it, by contrast she hates the Lambo as it's too fast and now refuses to go in it.

Job done.

Jeanette is an accomplished motorcyclist (albeit before the kids arrived) and still moans about 'clutch fingers' whenever the sun is out, me too however I bought the Masser so I wouldn't be tempted to buy another superbike as the knees just couldn't take another bash...

She drives the Maserati 'enthusiastically' and has probably done a few thousand miles in it, if you asked her she would tell you she thinks it's stupid and unessesary; really though she loves it nearly as much as me and proudly leaves the keys on the desk at work with the Maserati logo showing naturally, she will always take it for 'ladies that do' breakfasts or lunches and well.... SHE is the one with the speeding points on her license not me!

My wife pretends 'not to be bothered' about the car, sunny day "wish we still had the convertible" any other day "can I take the Mas?"
Sunday Question
"Do you really need to watch - Moto GP, F1 GP, all the qualifying, British Superbikes, British Touring Cars, anything else that envolves motor racing, reruns of Top Gear, Wheeler Dealers, anything else to do with cars, engines, bikes, machinery driven by internal combustion engine, any machinery driven by any other engine from steam to nuclear power?"

Answer
"Yes"

My sister drove my GS a while back when we were off to get a curry. Had a drink waiting for it to be made and she sat at the bar, with the keys on display. I as pretty embarrassed, but she just laughed and didnt give a hoot!

The advert
"For Sale - GSXR1000, ridden once, apparently "Do what the F##k you want" cannot be taken literally."

My 8 year old has got into the habit of saying.

"Hi, my dads got a porsche".
