Didn’t think the 997 Gen2 Turbo was a Mezger engine only thought 997 Gen1 and Gen1.5 were Mezger engines. The rare one is the 997 Gen1.5 which combines the Mezger engine with the Gen2 info entertainment system best one to get in my opinion. Oh and for the record 991’s also suffer bore score apparently, as a Porsche Club GB member from our region had it on his.

Yup agree that the 997.2 is not a mezger

We’d all kick ourselves if it sold sub £10k but realistically it looks like it’s being sold by Meridian so it’s likely to have a £15k minimum reserve hoping to sell for £20k

It's getting fun now. Looks like I've just spent £2500 of HenrysDad's money in the last 5 minutes! Sorry!!!

I'm about to off-grid for a while, so won't join the fray again until later. It'll be interesting to see where we are price-wise in a couple of hours.

But at least the bargain hunters and dealers are gone, as we are now in firmly the realms of the proper value of the car. So no one need worry that they missed out on a crazy cheap deal. It's now at a level whereby only true Maserati fans could make any kind of justification for the purchase, which is exactly as it should be.

Looking forward to picking it up. Not seen it yet, so that’s always the exciting bit.

But if it hadn’t been for Henry’s pesky Dad, I might have got it a bit cheaper. That said, we only got over the reserve with the last few bids, so it wouldn’t have sold for much less.
