CAR AUCTIONS

Looking forward to picking it up. Not seen it yet, so that’s always the exciting bit.

But if it hadn’t been for Henry’s pesky Dad, I might have got it a bit cheaper. That said, we only got over the reserve with the last few bids, so it wouldn’t have sold for much less.

Glad we provided a little viewing entertainment for fellow Forum members!
One for Classiche Certification perhaps?

Went for $28K US
Not bad, but mainly driven by low mileage I'd guess.
I still get quite puzzled when I see thing like a Honda Integras going for above 40k and 80s 911s for above 80k on the same site. Neither drives better, has more character not is more rare (and IMHO both don't even come in the same region looks wise)...

Thoughts on this one...?
Mate has/had one he was 'abartizing' yet never got it to run right.
Quirky and cute but by no means fast and exhilarating...

Richard Grace had a lovely red Biturbo Spyder many years ago that I was interested in but couldn’t sell my car quick enough to raise the funds. I looked at a white one in a dealers in Meriden, the guy dealt mostly in Porsches, it was nice but needed tidying. As time has gone on I think they really have aged well and because of their rarity create a lot of interest. One pulled up at the Italian car day at the Ox and Plough in Old Buckenham last year, there was lots of nice Italian machinery on show but the Biturbo Spyder created the most interest. It was on a ‘E’ reg so guessing it was 2.5.

someone might be interested, looks good
This is potentially a nice car. He’s been trying to sell it for about a year now, at around £20k. I inspected it at Emblem, and it has history with them. It’s in good mechanical condition, just needs a little more love/investment.
Depending on the reserve, it could make a good buy at auction. I might have had a dabble if I’d not just bought the Spyder last week.
I suspect he’ll want high teens, and it’s worth that.
Might it sneak through cheaply, at maybe £15k? That would be a fabulous buy.
Good luck to any bidders. (#henrysdad ?)
