Mr Gove today “ "some" food prices "may go up" and "other prices will come down" in the event of a no-deal Brexit”

Does he mean V8 and V12 Italian sportscar? I can see how some middle class liberals might be happy with a no deal then :)
the rest of the nation is truly shafted though !!

After reading the news I think he means American processed cheese, which’ll be good news for your fromagerie account!

We used to live 3min walk from lafromagerie... our annual cheese bill averaged about £2000 a year over a 5 year period... true story!
Not quite the same since we moved out and we had to rely on Waitrose to fill the void
Quality costs. Waitrose is okay but, as you say, what are the alternatives?
A friend in Edinburgh imports French cheese and his daughters used to like mini Babybel FFS!

Just in case the drawbridge is pulled up at the end of next month, we couldn’t resist staying at the Hotel de France in St Pol de Leon for a couple of nights. It’s splendid. The restaurant close by is La Pomme d’Api and deservedly has one of those stars from a French tyre company, as well as a goodly selection of organic wines - we went for a sumptuous red from Chinon. I’m hoping the whole experience gives our kids the motivation to do something as good here in Pays de Galles, if we survive the whole bloody mess.

There’s a real joy to giving the offspring proper experiences like that. Hopefully it’ll shape their food tastes and passion for sniffing out interesting places to eat bloody good food rather than treating a meal like a necessary evil where MickyD’s or Nando’s will suffice.

That looks lovely..and the car is looking superb too.if you fancy some quality grub at an excellent price in the saff west can I suggest the Bath Priories, lunchtime menu. Five fabulous courses plus breads, top drawer service, £55.

It is an absolute steal at the price - check out some of these dishes.

Agree that the Bath Priory is lovely!

In more depressing matters, I really hope this story is true, but I suspect it’s yet more posturing and negotiation tactics...

I think some of the recent actions (or alleged decisions) taken (by both sides) have been deplorable and contrary to what I think democracy means. However, I would 100% support an election where people have a chance to vote on what they want the outcome to be...

What are other’s views? Ideally without resorting to name calling and pigeonholing people as either Remainers, Leavers, etc...

Well think about it; if Boris calls it, immediately parliament is dissolved and nothing gets passed = No Deal Brexit inevitable.
