Interesting day.
UK Mp’s now apparently know what they want.
Europe says there’s no way change to the legal agreement.

Happy ending seems “pie in the sky”.
Two years too late....i was watching the votes in Parliament last night (nothing else on!) and what a mess we're in.

If you're organising an event say a barbecue or wedding you'd at least have decided what you're going to wear, eat, venues, and have the invites out long before the start.

Imagine this, two people you know are getting married,. They decided back in 2017. Great which day? 29th March 2019. Great where, not sure. party planned? No! Catering booked? No! Cars? er no. What are you wearing? Can't decide. Church or Registry? Er... OK you've got time to work it out.

Spin on two years, still not decided on the above....er do you really want to get married...

The above may sound irrelevant but people do plan their wedding 2 years in advance and have great weddings, with better organisation than Brexit.

My point is that something so fundamental to our lives, businesses and laws should not be left so late in the day. We have less than 2 months now and yet parliament still cannot decide on what to do. They decided to go to war quicker.

Whatever way you voted. It's a joke and a disgrace.

I agree it’s a disgrace.
It highlights the TOTAL political incompetence of the UK position.

I refer to my previous....

“The Uk govt position from day one should have been to state we’re leaving, we ain’t paying you any more money and are walking away from discussions using the two years to plan for such an event in March 19.

(Any knowledgeable individual can see Europe’s position- even now they maintain that nothing can be changed)

You cannot negotiate with Europe as it is not in their interests to allow anyone to leave.......ever. They bully every country that opposes its view.

With the Uk position clear and most European countries in a f****d financial position they would have been chasing us for a deal ( with 60 days to go) as they and indeed the rest of the world knows the problems a “no deal” will present to the fake everything’s hunky global economy/financial image”

Instead we find ourselves in a “Mexican stand off” with Europe with 60 or so days to go,..them refusing to budge and everyone bleating we’re not prepared.

Europe isn’t too and it needs that 37 Billion.
We need these eyes now

Rather than these eyes or we face the biggest “surrender” in Europe since the 1940’s.99452ABB-825D-47E1-843E-045F69EE0E31.jpeg

Europe always deals at the last minute.
This is the Uk’s Opportunity to show we’re different. We believe and enforce democracy.
Or like all the others that have rolled over, we are Europe’s Bitches too.

Gunfight at the OK Coral, EU might be saying no but hard Irish border will rip Ireland apart again and nobody wants that. There might be some hard staring but there should be a deal someone in this PoS - well I hope so

Oh and now I see that now Corbyn realises that there may be some agreement he is prepared to come and join the party - personally I would tell him to feck off back to his hole

Yeah, but the more accurate analogy is based on "Two people know they are getting divorced".
But the partner who wants out of the marriage tries to negotiate some options around the house, the kids, etc, yet the other party merely sneers that those proposals are 'unreasonable' or 'lack detail'. After two years of this, the partner who wants out puts forward, in desperation, a deal where the other gets the house, the kids, the car and a generous cash settlement, plus the option to unilaterally annul the divorce at any time, which is grudgingly accepted. At that point the leaving party's lawyers, parents, kids, etc all scream, "Are you crazy, that's a terrible idea!" So chaos ensues.

Et voila

EU would rather no-deal Brexit than abandon Irish backstop, Theresa May told
The Independent
Theresa May has been warned the EU will settle for a no-deal Brexit rather than abandon the Irish backstop, as Brussels ramped up its refusal to reopen talks. Read the full story

That’s fine.
Cmon remainers, even you can surely see what we’re dealing with now.
Interesting that not one of you answered my join the Euro question.
You wouldn’t!

Let’s take it a step further,.....referendum question.

Mays deal
No deal
Remain and join the Euro. Total commitment to the fabulous Europroject.

I know what “leavers” would check.

I don’t get all the leavers going on about the EU bully. It’s not in their interest to see us leave, it never has been and despite what you were told it’s not because they need us. It’s because if we leave others may do.

It’s a bit like saying someone who stops an attacker stabbing them is a bully.
