Coincidentally, the Labour run council in Bristol has proposed a 7.00 am - 3.00 pm city centre ban on privately owned diesel vehicles from 2021. To assist motorists they want to run a vehicle scrappage scheme and encourage the use of electric and hybrid vehicles. Commercial diesels including buses would be charged to enter the exclusion zone!

Hmm, I do hope they've got the infrastructure in place and have done their maths correctly, and I'm sure the plan will do wonders for their election prospects.

I am hoping we will see a huge amount of ABC voting (anyone but Corbyn) so that we end up with a majority party (or coalition) that can actually get things done in Parliament.

I'm an ex conservative but of the current crop I think JC comes across as having the most integrity of the bunch. Hes weak on the back foot though and doesnt have the charisma needed imo. Then again I cant think of anyone who really does although I'm not hugely in to politics.

Amber Rudd has announced that she will not stand as a Tory in this election.
Hope she stands as an Independent. Her majority in last election was tiny (346).
If she gets in as an Independent I wonder where she will sit in the house?
