Brexit Deal

Sad indeed, and I agree Brexit being done would make zero difference, if anything it will get harder to get here legally so even more people will take the risk of getting here by other means.
And after Brexit we can expect even less cooperation from France in terms of managing the ports in France.

Genuine question: Would today's tragic discovery of the bodies in the back of the truck in Grays have happened if Brexit had been done by now? Or would it have made zero difference?
I think it would be worse. UK is still seen as the place to go to because of English Language, diversity, no real ID system and a decent level of tolerance.

On Brexit we won't be a party to the Dublin Agreement which mean it would not be possible to turn refugees where they were first processed (not landed, a common misunderstanding of the Dublin Agreement).

So I think what will happen is refugees will be shipped in secrecy across mainland Europe to UK and Ireland where it's easier to lose yourself in the system, and that would completely bypass the DA no matter how it's interpreted.

So for me it just means more will end up in UK cos of a conscious effort to hideaway while crossing Europe.

Having several brothers and one who is a staunch Brexiteer he has sent me lots of stuff over the last couple of years but now it seems plans are being made to let the establishment know they are not happy.
I agree they are not Happy but it looks like there could be a Winter of discontent ahead.

Cracking bit of film there and I remember it well left school in 78 and was driving in 79.
Remember a few Winters like that in the 70'S only did one on the Moped.
Probably not a Good time to be buying a Jaguar XK 5.0 especially the XKR............

It is a good bit of film, the 78 into 79 Winter was grim, the gauntlets I was wearing weren't doing their job and after being out for a ride I would venture inside near the fire and get hot ache in my fingers and toes.

If they get as many as the 200 marchers that showed up on Farage's Totally Puddled March, that'll show 'em.
