We aim to please Frank Alfa cooling fan relay Relay part no 11130287 £8.40 inc Vat

Run your Maserati on an Alfa budget you know its makes sense haha we ought to do a comprehensive one window wiper motor etc

regards loz

This is not applicable to the Classico 4200 owners, they use the mini grey relays (5 prong) the black 4 prong relays from Alfa won't fit.

The grey one is a Tyco relay which I'm guessing is the original unless someone changed it before and replaced it with the OEM, the alternative part number for Alfa is the black one I ordered, I've just read through this thread and saw someone with a 2003 model had the same issue - they ended up cutting the prongs down...

That would be ideal and render the alternative parts thread obsolete if that was the case, C - I was assuming as it's been quite a frequent write up on here about the F1 pump relay that you couldn't just get one down at Halfords, so I used the parts list and ordered the once specified, turns out it's not as easy as that - I shall hit up Eurospares instead.

There is a thread somewhere about the early 4200 using a different relay / relay base and a modification to fit the later type.

if you find nothing on here check maserati life or the maserati forum as it will have been done before.

I remember looking into it when i first got the GS, but it was the later type relay anyway so the alfa one fitted.

Cheers mate, I've heard some talk of a BMW abs relay which may do the trick if not I'll just get the updated one from either the dealer or eurospares.

Hi Kyle ,
I posted some photos and info on the relay no so long ago, mine is also 5 pin which I got from euro car parts.

Yeah, that's literally what I've just picked up from BMW today - for only £14.56, so this is compatible with the 2002-3003 models then.

*This BMW part number needs to be included on the Alternative Parts database, with the Alfa part being highlighted for use on the newer model years.

Xenon Headlight Ignitor (Ballast Unit)

Here's another one for you Fellas.

The xenon ballast unit on the '04 4200 Coupe (pictured) and presumably others, is the same as the '04 Skoda Octavia.

I didn't bother calling Maser here in Oz but called the Skoda dealer and was told a part had to be brought in from Europe for $600aud. So, I jumped on line and found https://xenonland.com/product/966/a...iter-ignitor-for-skoda-octavia-2000-2004.html where it was €89.92!

Including postage, it wasn't much more than $100aud delivered to my door 5 days later straight from Bulgaria!

Unit pictured below for future reference.

Cheers,

Kim

Anyone heard from the chap that was running the alternative parts on dropbox or whatever?
