Heater core is also Alfa 166.........46721527 Best buy Nissens 70016, very good quality parts.
Blower: also Alfa 166: OE-number 46722616 = Marelli 69412515010, there's cheaper stuff, but I don't recommend these...

Thanks, this is really helpful. Can you also add the heater core from a Saab 9000 being suitable for the 4200, as per Craig Waterman's thread.

Added, also referenced Paul L's earlier thread with a great how-to replace for the 3200 GT which uses the same part.

And ... Don't forget the wiper/indicator stalk unit is interchangeable with the Alfa 166 too. PLUS - you can upgrade to cruise control while you're at it if you want ( I just did - fabulous!)

.....and so did I - a relatively cheap, reasonably simple upgrade that enhances it's cruising properties.

Could anyone so be very kind as to send me the Alternative Parts sheet please.

Do we have a location for it and stuff like this? I am sure I could set up an FTP server or something for us on one of our backup server at our datacentre we have space in if we have nothing in place?

Now seem to have two different versions on Google, one I made and another posted more recently.

Can a moderator sort it out and put it in the first post? Having a collaboratively edited spreadsheet is a much better plan than emailing it around.

Already been there. A very close mate of mine is very high up in Euro Car Parts Head Office and distribution centre, the OCAP supplier for UK.

He went digging as the OCAP part numbers were listed but he was unable to order them.

Being the UK importer for OCAP, if he cant get them, nobody without and explicit trade setup will be able to purchase them.

QP V Wiper blades

You can fit Bosch Aerotwins, with a small mod to the clip on the driver's side. Parts are AR26U and AR18U. The same left/right length combination as:
Honda Civic 09.11 ->
Nissan Primera 12.01-09.10
Toyota Camry 08.11 ->

Looking good so far but not many miles done yet. More testing needed before I recommend. Will post a photo if anyone's interested.

No issues after a few thousand miles. Definitely recommended. Since I posted this I've thoroughly tested it by driving to Italy and back and it held up in torrential rain and at 160mph, though not at the same time

NB Also fits the GT, though the passenger side blade is 17" (Parts are AR26U and AR17U)

I totally didn't have to do that.

Totally standard 17 and26 (IIRC) Bosch wipers from Halfords.

I'll take some photos when I'm home

Hi guys,

Just a quick question with regard to a 2005 GS boot release solenoid alternative part. I have diagnosed fully as per the ever helpful forum solutions and conclude that the solenoid is sticking / Kaput (checked relays / broken wires etc after searching the forum). Does anyone know if the solenoid itself has an alternative Alfa cousin? Maserati part number is 384700125 (comes with boot release solenoid / lock and cable) - £200 +VAT from Eurospares so thought it would be worth asking the question....Much appreciated! P

I cannot imagine it being anything but an Alfa part, try 166 as a starting point.

I got mine for the project 4200 from Greg @ PCP. Original OE part and I BBC perfect condition just not quite new or not quite new price either!

Boot works a treat every time now.
