15-30 seconds......Christ, I don’t want the Mrs to realise what she’s been missing out on all these years Jon!!!@Wattie - does the pacemaker have a boost mode? Maybe a 15-30 seconds surge for times of passion…? or for when reading the daily gold prices?
Amazing what they can do these days: you’re like an F1 car which is being adjusted from the pits!Pacemakers have come along way. Mine comes with an electronic device that uploads my heart data on a nightly basis to my surgical team. They can then adjust the parameters according to how i’m Using it.....ie when I return to the gym and start pushing its upper limits.
40 mins to insert- saved my life.
Day 75 !!! That’s pretty damned phenomenal Froddy and just shows what can be done when a determined individual puts their mind to it! Take a bow sirAmazing what they can do these days: you’re like an F1 car which is being adjusted from the pits!
By way of weekly update, I’m now day 75 off the booze - I’m confident that I’ll make my 90 day target to complete the challenge. I’ve lost just a little more weight this week (79.7kg today), and I’ve really noticed the positive changes which abstinence is bringing: I’m calmer and more confident, have loads of energy, and my concentration is so much better.
So glad to hear that you’re on the mend, Wattie, and that you’re already looking forward to getting back to normal activities - so pleased you’re fixed!
Problem is I really enjoy drinking, and I’m rubbish at drinking in moderation....
Wow - that's a great weekly result - congrats! Must be the extra nocturnal exercise(!)7th November - 85.0kg @ 25.0% body fat
15th November - 84.4kg @ 24.9% body fat
Unhelpful Ewan. I was already wavering today (roast beef for lunch) and this may be the final straw...For me, the benefits of having a glass of wine (or two, etc) outweigh the benefits of not. So going dry just one or two days a week is all the punishment I’m prepared to self inflict. Indeed, I’ve set aside some delicious claret to have with the roast pork at lunch. Hope you chaps enjoy your Evian!

However, right now, I’m about to have a Free Dam alcohol free beer...

@Froddy - I agree with you completely re drinking... I think not drinking every day makes me sleep better, makes me feel healthier, helps me to lose weight, makes me happier, improves my sex life (because it means I go to bed at the same time as my wife - not a droop issue!), makes me better at my job, and probably sets a better example to my kids.

Keeping it up is the hard part mateGood result JonW......all graphs heading down.
Booze is a tough one especially when you like it- a happy medium exists- somewhere.
Keep up the good work.
