There's only 5 owners selling , the rest are trade

There are always speculators for rare cars , there's only 2200 registered in the UK so that does make it a rare car.
The trade/speculators aren't selling them looking at the numbers available, and prices will drop when they all have to start off loading them.

My Vogue regularly goes to the tip. Also goes to 5* hotels, done the NC500, family of 4 and dog on holiday, south of France, kids on school run. All in glorious comfort. Not much it can’t do.

Given we have automatic gearboxes, lights and wipers, reversing cameras/sensors, lane assist, cruise control, automatic break assist, etc. already, I can’t see why there shouldn’t be reversing assist as well for those that want it. We’ll all be in autonomous vehicles soon enough anyway.

You can, I won't...just need time to get my carburated ZXR back on the road...

Can an automated car see hazards miles in front on a long straight road and just ease off or that motorbike rapidly weaving in and out of lanes behind and move over slightly to let him safely through? (Or that fast Merc on the autobahn)

In with you Martin - I hate all the auto stuff. Even auto gearboxes, hence a Strad for me, not an MC Auto Shift etc. But when it comes to driving, for some people, a computer can do it better than they can!

Connected autonomous cars will 'see' that hazard because the car 2 miles in front will tell them. Assuming motorway.

Anyway, I'm with you two. If I want to be driven I take a taxi.

That's why I'm restoring a Renault 16 TX for myself here in France.
Pushrod ohv engine.
Points ignition.
Weber twin choke carburettor.
5 speed column shift manual.
It does have front electric windows and central locking.
At nearly 60 I know how to drive and park so it's perfect for me.

…….it is, when you want the world to know you’ve given up and are just waiting to die. It’s all very sad.

Which is why HS2 needs to be scrapped , by the time it's built it'll be obsolete , 4 people will be driven to Glasgow in safety for next to no money compared to what, four £300 return tickets

Radar cruise is a useful feature though , first time I've ever had it on a car , normal cruise is useless south of Preston too much traffic but I quite like radar cruise
This Yaris almost drives itself on the motorway , lane assist and radar cruise , it doesn't like it if you let go of the wheel though , I see that as a useful thing for boring motorway drives

I dread the day when you can't turn any of it off though ,and it's coming , soon
