I know I know this is a Maserati forum but today I went in and drove one, my my what fun and amazing handling this car has!
While my car went for new tyres I thought I’d pop next door to the Toyota dealer and as they saw me in my car they thought I was serious
Took it from Enfield Town to St Albans and back so a good 20 or so miles and it was lovely, really nice

My local dealer tells me theres 7 months waiting list, never thought I’d like it but I do!

many one with a hole to burn and what’s fun go get one you will love it

We used to fit rear wash wipers back in the day after the Germans introduced them they were very popular.
So if it was a deal breaker I reckon could easily be sorted.

I love a hot hatch .... but it has to be useable (boot and 4 seats IMO). As a reference, Golf GTi is similar money and only marginally slower.

And so I would say that this isn't a hot hatch.

No doubt it will sell out and be a great investment but I'm not interested.

I have a Golf R and based on my recollection and experience of “hot hatches”, it is NOT a hot hatch.

That is based on my 1.9 GTI, R5 GTT, Williams Clio, Clio Trophy...

if you want to “mash” the throttle in a straight line like Caw Wow YouTubers, buy one... if you want a hot hatch for driving enjoyment, DON’T buy one...

Well that’s my subjective opinion anyway..

Yaris GR,,, is probably my perfect car you could buy new today from a dealer...

I'm waiting to hear from a friend when his is delivered. They look so much fun!

I only just flogged my hot hatch - Focus ST. That was the most fun in the wet and cold.

Attached video proves that all the rally technology in the world doesn't help if you're a d!ck (about 10.30mins).

Chris Harris has one and loves it. It is the only car I see him driving around the Chepstow area in now.

It looks like a great bit of kit, at least when it's driven properly. I was seriously tempted to put down a deposit when they started taking orders - but owning one fairly quick Toyota already, my mind turned to whether I could buy something used and a bit more exotic for similar money. Which is how I ended up here!

I'd still love to have a go in the Yaris at some point. Toyota deserve a lot of respect for taking a punt on building a car like that, and they also deserve all the success they're having with selling them.
