no offense intended, but I’m happy with my choice!
yea - but remember Zerohedge exist to predict the end of the world.....something they have for wrong for some time! Wine is not an investment - but to drink and there won’t be a problem
Totally agree....especially if you drink the stuff!I can’t agree with that entirely. For starters there is no capital gains tax on the return.
Been doing it for the past 20 years. Buy young, the best vintage and a great Chateau or Domaine and buy it In Bond. Sit on it for 5-10 years. Wine is a long term investment.I’m tempted by the idea of investing in wine - it strikes me as a win win... if it goes up in value, then you sell some... or it doesn’t then you can drink it...
does anyone on here do it?
The downside unfortunately is you’re in Lille..Try the wine fair in Lille. It takes place every November in a huge conference centre in the centre of Lille and brings together over 600 french wine producers in one place. They have rows and rows of white wine, red wine Champagne, Cognac and Armagnac stalls where you can taste what the producers have to offer. It is so cheap compared with UK prices and you can buy as much as you can transport back home ( within reason), although this may change with Brexit now with us. But it's a great wine tasting weekend. Entry ticket is €20 but once you've been you will be sent complimentary tickets every year thereafter. We stayed at a fantastic hotel ( L'Hermitage Gantois) which is just 8 mins walk from the conference centre. Check it out ..you won't be disappointed!! One hours drive from Calais and the Channel Tunnel so dead easy to get to.
It’s actually faux leather wallpaper made in France. I needed some wallpaper that can be wiped down in the cigar room. Comes in several colours. Mine is actually blue’ish, see photos below.Strange one, but love that green on the wall. Any info at all, assuming they are tiles. Your house looks mega, well done indeed
