I’ve just figured it out, doh! Drunken munchies. You only know you’ve had too much when you wake up the following morning to find the cheese toasty in the CD player.

It’s Friday, time for another pair.
Today it’s Catenas excellent Chardonnay, 10 months in french oak casks and 92 points from my friend James Suckling. Secondly a further btl of the 2010 Grand Cru Saint Emilion, another good glass of Merlot dominated red.

Situated just 2000 meters from the mighty Chateau Petrus, just over the border into Lalande de Pomerol, a mere 1500 cases of Chateau les Cruzelles is produced by Denis Durantou. Rated just 1 point below Petrus in a recent blind tasting, a wine that sells at 128 times the price! Terrific value if you like Pomerols.

Pomerols?.. that new to me, will have to go and look that one up. Enjoy!

One of Mrs Goodfellas staff came in looking a bit hung over and pee’d off to boot one morning..

Upon questioning the young girl, she had got coke’d & boozed up and gone half each on a bottle of Pétrus with a first date the night before. £4,000 for her half and she couldn’t even remember it..

To add.. They were in some weird African restaurant & you know for **** sure they weren’t keeping it cellared properly.
