Im on the Bush Noël, 12% Christmas brew, at this moment. Back in UK Sat and excited to see the cats. Have appointment at Administration Communale d'Arlon for my certificat de residence. I have an annexe 19, and my formulaire BL1 as well as my Modèle 2 so I'm all set.

No worries rossyl. Just pre-drill small pilot holes from above, down into the wooden slats of the racking. Then gently screw the shelf on. Screw one in first so that the shelf is fixed in place. Then fit as many as you feel is needed depending on size of course.
Perfect, thanks, and iron on veneer - on top. Thanks

@Bebs If you drink all of that you'll not be long for this world, and if you don't you'll be leaving an awful lot to your lucky beneficiaries! I recall there was a member who was supping the fruits of his father in laws rather fine collection which he hadn't quite had the time to enjoy!

The plywood comes with both sides oak veneered. I used the iron on edging strips for.. well, the edges! To give it a finished look. You just iron the strip on and then trim with a sharp knife. Then varnish over it all.

I don’t like too many empty holes, that’s the downside of the racking!

I believe I am that lucky member, and luckily there is still quite a bit of that collection to be enjoyed...

That Graham Malvados from Tesco’s I mentioned previously is excellent value at £20 rossyl. Have a look at Farr Vintners also, good selection of port.

Giving a Organic Bordeaux ago picked up today €3.99 a bottle locally and it's rather nice Infront of the fire :)
There are some great Bordeaux organic vineyards. I keep banging on about it, but many don’t advertise the organic or biodynamic elements for fear of being branded weirdy beardy. We stumbled across this one last year - Chateau Ahon. Even had a kiddy friendly vineyard trail.

I would quite like to learn more about organic biodynamic wines... might be a research project for over the Christmas break...

Vinceremos, Vintage Roots and Waitrose Cellar have some good examples and this explains what it’s all about. Can’t begin to understand it all, but as with all things wine, it’s fascinating
